WHAT DOES A VISIT LOOK LIKE?
Petsitting visits are generally 15 or 30 minutes long, although we do occasionally offer 60 minute visits as well. This does not include drive time to & from each client's house. The time at each visit is generally spent preparing meals for pets, giving medication if needed, walking dogs, indoor and outdoor playtime, general cleaning, refreshing water dishes, scooping litter boxes, cleaning up pet messes, taking cute pictures of happy pets, and sending an update to the client.

You will also check over the house for any problems, bring mail and newspapers inside, water indoor and outdoor plants, and take care of any other general household tasks included with our services. Pet sitting visits are completed at approximately the same time each day to keep things consistent for the pets. Vacation care visits are generally booked for 3-8 days at a time.

Dog walking visits are generally booked on the same days each week. They are good, consistent income, and are 15 or 30 minutes long (weather permitting). Duties include walking the dog, picking up & disposing of their poop, wiping feet (if wet outside), and refreshing their water bowls.

Professional pet sitting and dog walking is independent work. It’s enjoyable, typically low stress, and active.

WILL I NEED TO WORK HOLIDAYS?
Pet sitting and dog walking is a business that is inherently busiest during the times people travel, which includes weekends, summers, and holidays. You will need to work at least 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and 4th of July). I also make sure you will have time with your families. We typically take turns scheduling time off during the days leading up to (or after) the actual holiday.

WHERE WILL I BE WORKING?
Most of your time at work will be spent at the clients' homes doing visits and taking care of pets. From time to time, you will need to pick up or drop off supplies from our lockbox. Other than that, you will go straight to the client’s home to start work.

Because our pet sitters and dog walkers drive to visits multiple times per day, we only hire candidates who live in our service area, or very close to it. See map below.
